Judy Silverstein Gray is a former corresepndent for the Tampa Tribune, and has published five books on the miitary. Her work in the communications field spans a wide range of efforts and spans more than two decades. She has vast and diverse experience working and communicating about disaster preparedness and response. A retired Coast Guard chief petty officer, Judy is the third generation in her family to serve in the military. Working in public affairs, she handled media relations, and wrote about historic events and little-known champions. Judy also chaired the Public Affairs and Government Section for the Public Relations Society of America.Currently, she works as a strategic communications consultant, and instructs graduate students about public heath campaigns and marketing. Throughout her work, Judy has drawn on her fascination wirh storytelling to craft narratives about innovators and unlikely trailblazers.
