Kate London was a detective in the Metropolitan Police Service before resigning to write full time. Her first novel, Post Mortem, was published in 2014 to strong reviews. In 2021Post Mortem was adapted for television by Patrick Harbinson as The Tower, and broadcast by ITV. The Sunday Times: "An absorbing debut ... a complex novel that offers rare insights."
