U.S. Army Civil Affairs Captain, Author, and Motivational Speaker, Komi Afetse is also a Database Systems Engineer at the Defense Information Systems Agency ( Pentagon). He is currently serving as Civil Affairs Theater Security Cooperation Planner for the Civil Military Operations Division at the Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF). He was born and raised in Togo (West Africa), and left his country of birth in search of a better life in the United States of America in March 2004. After a very difficult start in the U.S where he spent his first 4 months in Immigration Custody, Komi went on to achieve his American Dream and Financial independence. As North Carolina A&T State University graduate, Komi is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in International Relations and Global Security at the American Military University. Komi Afetse is a World Traveler and Strong advocate for a positive and successful lifestyle.
