Before becoming a children’s author, Kristina worked in the property industry, building homes out of disused garages and scraps of land. She now spends her days building children’s stories. She lives in London with her wife and two daughters. Kristina hopes that by bringing more stories to the shelves which include donor conceived children and diverse family set ups, it will help demystify the subject and help families like this feel seen and better understood. When she’s not writing or reading, Kristina enjoys singing loudly in the car to 90s music, trips to the coast and exploring all the hidden gems of London with her family. Kristina’s debut middle grade novel, THE DOUGHNUT CLUB, won the PFD Queer Fiction Prize in 2023 (Children’s and YA Category).
