I come from a small town in upstate New York State located in the center of Oswego County. Seen a lot of adversity and hardship at a very young age. Spent the majority of adulthood struggling my way through dealing with trauma and truly not knowing how to adjust. It was only recently in my mid-thirties that I turned back to my artistic roots and began to both paint and write again. This summer I made the leap to publishing my first book! I have other projects in the works. Along with some lower content journals and such to bring awareness to mental health! I have grown to understand that people will always be against you, you will always fall, what matters is that you fall nine times but get up ten. Know your worth and it is never too late to fulfill a dream. Focus on being a decent human being with compassion and love, never judge and leave the word hate for those who haven't grown. My First Book, "She": Part of life's hardship gave me the inspiration for the main character of my first book “She”. The main character being based loosely on the life events of someone close to me and her tragic passing. Also including real notes from the reports from her final night. I was able to take points like family size and dynamic and write a story. A story about mental health struggle, hiding domestic issues and violence and the struggle between staying or leaving. We all know someone who has fought these battles. The style of writing with no character names was directly so that while reading the story written the reader could then submerse themselves into the role of the main character.
