Laura Rye is the co-author of the FREAK CAMP series, a m/m paranormal romance that explores forbidden love, trauma recovery, and what makes you a monster or a human. As a diehard fan of hurt/comfort, she’s sworn a solemn vow to bring a pound of comfort for every ounce of hurt. Books saved her life through a difficult childhood and continue to sustain her through hard times, and Laura has dedicated her life to creating stories to help others deal with trauma and find the simple joy of escapism in a story. Writing is the only thing she ever wanted to do with her life, and as she has often told her friends, she’ll crawl over bodies to make it her full-time job. Other jobs are nonsense. A native of Houston, Texas, she now lives in Portland, Oregon, where she has fallen in love with the mountains, sea, and every single tree. When she’s not writing, she loves to travel to state parks, practice martial arts and yoga, and volunteer in her local community – plus play cozy video games. She earned a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Evansville, where she met her best friend and co-author Bailey R. Hansen.
