Hi everyone, my name’s Leif (it rhymes with safe) – welcome to my author page! I'm a writer, botanist and science communicator with a lifelong interest in nature. I was born in 1994 and grew up in rural Wiltshire where I spent my time running around the fields and woods searching for birds, insects and – in particular – wild plants (as one does). I recently finished a genetics PhD at Kew Gardens in London. In a world where an interest in botany is becoming increasingly rare, I want to help put plants back on the map and persuade you to learn your daisies from your dandelions – it might just be the best thing you ever do!
