Dr. Leslye Kornegay, Executive, Entrepeneur, Faculty, Author Leslye Kornegay, Ed.D., is Executive Director of Facilities Management, University Enviromental Services at Duke University. She was formerly employed with the University of Vermont for eight and half years as the Director of Custodial Service. Prior to her position at the University of Vermont, Leslye held positions in university facilities organizations (40) where she partnered with senior leadership to place the university internal customer first, and implemented accountability measures to ensure that departmental performance met campus expectations. Leslye is a transformational leader who has led major institutional change initiatives while adhering to her commitment to positive and proactive leadership, transparency in communications, staff development, and strong relationships with internal and external campus stakeholders, customers, and senior leadership. Leslye is a faculty member in the graduate colleges for Champlain College and Langston University teaching in the MBA, Marketing, Leadership & Entrepreneurial programs. She is the CEO of Kornegay Konsulting, LLC and is a founding member and CEO of the Kornegay Foundation, a nonprofit organization. She is a member of Union Baptist Church, in Durham, NC and the Citadel of Life Community Church in Salisbury, NC. She holds a Doctor of Education, a Master of Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Lastly, is the author of the recently published book “Leading to Change the World.” She is a contributing author of “Matters of the Heart 2”, featured in “Invisible Hero’s” and has written contributing chapter in Robert Nash’s book on Scholarly Personal Narrative (SPN), "Our Stories Matter," in Chapter 4 titled "Four Authors Who Have Lived on the Margins," Part One.
