Lia Taylor (they/them) is a queer interdisciplinary artist and witch who lives in New Brunswick with their husband and three black cats. Lia graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design (now Alberta University of the Arts) in 2014 with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Fibre. Lia’s true passion is traditional textile art, including weaving and embroidery. Their work explores the history of witchcraft, feminism, witches in pop culture, and the body. When she is not making art, or researching witchcraft and witch trials, she is casting spells and conjuring all matters of witchery. Lia likes movies, strong coffee, and cats. Sigil Craft is their first book.
