Linda Dodwell was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. After graduating from Princeton High School in 1962, she was awarded a R.N. Degree from the Anne May School of Nursing, Neptune, N.J. Marrying a Princeton University and Yale Law School grad led her in June 1971 to Westport, Connecticut two weeks after giving birth to their daughter, Maida Lynn. The family moved to the West Coast where she acquired a 1983 BFA in Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. In 1989, as an empty nester and a divorcee, she learned the art of the motorcycle, traveled the world, living bi-hemispherically between San Francisco and Australia. Never one to miss a challenge, Linda competed in the 1997 Peking to Paris car rally. Today she divides her time between the San Francisco Bay shoreline and her Australian inspired homestead in Sonoma County, California.
