Lisa Hatfield is a risk reduction evangelist, sharing principles of emergency preparedness with her community so people can help themselves during disasters when 9-1-1 isn't coming. She has experienced four wildfires very close to her home and does wildfire property evaluations and tree cutting work with volunteer groups. She teaches Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) with Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management and has reported on the public meetings of local government entities in Our Community News. She also strives to be a shining light and share hope with people about getting control of their lives by realizing the only person you can really change is yourself.
