Lisa Washington is an award-winning author of Christian Fiction/Romance novels. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Lisa joined the U.S. Navy after high school and served 4-years. She returned home and graduated from Wayne State University in 2003. She then moved her family to Virginia where she earned a graduate degree from Averett University. In 2007, Lisa and her son moved to Indiana where she spent several years working in government and earning a second graduate degree from Butler University in 2016. Lisa published her first novel 'When You Least Expect It' in 2018 which received a best Christian Fiction Award from the African-American Literary Award Show. Her third novel 'Love lifted Me' received a 2020 Author Elite Award for best Clean Fiction. She is currently working on her newest series, My Sister's Keeper. A strong proponent of education and community service, Lisa spends many hours volunteering with community and non-profit organizations in Georgia where she currently resides with her family.
