Dr. Lori Beth Wagner is an author of fiction and non-fiction. Her books include "Around the Table with Jesus," "The Story Lectionary," and "The Seraph Seal" with co-author Leonard Sweet. Her upcoming projects include a non-fiction book, "Slant," a Bible study "Scandalous," and a novel, "The Lucifer Complex." In addition to book manuscripts, Dr. Wagner has published academic articles on science and culture in peer-reviewed journals. She is a featured weekly writer for a popular sermon site and a former weekly writer and site/content manager for another preaching site. A developmental editor for other Christian authors, she is the former Content Editor for the Christian publisher, Invite Press. Dr. Wagner holds a BA degree in German and Religion from Lebanon Valley College, an English certification from Albright College, and has completed a master’s degree and PhD program in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the University of Pennsylvania, an MDiv from Drew University, and a DMin from Portland Seminary. Active in the church, publishing, and academics, she is currently Director of Graduate Studies at United Lutheran Seminary, an adjunct instructor for Wesley Seminary (preaching) and Penn State Brandywine (writing), and Pastor of St. James Church in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wagner lives in Pennsylvania but spends beloved time researching and writing anywhere near the sea.
