Lorna and her husband, Larry Collins, grew up together in Alhambra, California. They have been married for over fifty-seven years and have one daughter, Kimberly. They both love to travel. Lorna and Larry were both employed in Osaka, Japan building the Universal Studios Japan theme park. Larry was a Project Engineer, responsible for the Jurassic Park, JAWS, and WaterWorld attractions. Lorna was the Document Control Supervisor in the Osaka field office. Their memoir of that experience, "31 Months in Japan: The Building of a Theme Park," was a 2006 EPPIE finalist and named as one of Rebeccas Reads Best nonfiction books of 2005. It is available in ebook, paperback, hardbound, and audio formats. Their cozy mysteries, "Murder...They Wrote," and "Murder in Paradise," are available in paperback, audio, and on Kindle. The latter was a 2012 finalist for the EPIC eBook Award for mystery. Lorna co-wrote six romance anthologies with friends, Sherry Derr-Wille, Christie Shary, Cheryl Gardarian, and Luanna Rugh. "Snowflake Secrets" (Dream Realm and Eric Hoffer Award finalist), "Seasons of Love," "Directions of Love" (2011 EPIC eBook Award winner as best romance anthology), "An Aspen Grove Christmas," "The Art of Love," and "...And a Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe" are available in paperback and on Kindle. Several are also available as audiobooks. Lorna's fantasy/mystery/romance beach read, "Ghost Writer," is available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook. Her historical novel, "The Memory Keeper," written with Larry, is available in paperback, audiobook, and Kindle formats. The short history of San Juan Capistrano, "Jewel of the Missions: San Juan Capistrano," is illustrated with the paintings of Robert L. Schwenck. Her children's book, "Lola, the Parrot Who Saved the Mission," is available in paperback and ebook. Their latest collaboration with Larry is "Dominic Drive" based on an idea from Lorna's late brother, Ronald Travis Lund. It tells about grwoing up in Southern California in the 1950s and '60s. During the pandemic, Lorna wrote a novella called " Romance in the Time of Social Distancing." It's in print and ebook. Lorna is an editor and formats for print and ebook. She edited "Passion, Paradise, Murder," an anthology set in Hawaii. All proceeds go to Read Aloud America, a literacy charity in Hawaii. Visit their website at www.lornalarry.com.
