In today’s content creating world, there are no rules. To me, writing books in different genres is like exploring a new city every time I sit down at my keyboard—thrilling, unpredictable, and endlessly creative. One day, I’m crafting a heart-pounding thriller; the next, I’m spinning a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy or diving into the depths of historical intrigue. Self-publishing lets modern writers embrace the freedom to experiment and surprise their readers on a playground of possibilities where stories don’t have to conform—but they must be great and connect with readers. After Colby College, my career swirled around my East Asian Studies background – first with Japanese banking and then ending in fashion design at Ralph Lauren in Paris. Being Irish as well as first-generation American, I have lived and worked mostly between New York City and Europe, wandering the cobblestone streets of Italy, France, Croatia, and Ireland with a boundless curiosity for the secrets of history. The whispers of untold stories of intrigue, danger, and betrayal became the backdrop for the pulse-pounding tales I now bring to life. My books delve into the darker edges of human ambition, weaving intrigue with modern-day peril. With every page, I aim to transport readers into a fantastical world where the past collides with the present—and no one is ever truly safe. When I’m not plotting my next twist or enjoying a pint with my family and friends, you’ll find me poring over old newspaper clippings, losing myself in rare books, or chasing inspiration with deep dive research. Let’s unravel a mystery or laugh at life’s unexplained chaos together—follow me on Instagram @lornaneligan or join my mailing list for exclusive updates. Thank you.
