Luigi N. Spring has ridden the waves of academia and sustainability in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, for three decades. He was a cancer research scientist, served as a professor of microbiology at the university level and later became president of a startup aquaponic garden company—he is a science nerd through and through. Currently, he serves as a public high school science teacher. He is also passionate about his family, long-distance ocean swimming and biking, and maintaining his chai addiction while immersing himself in therapeutic literary undertakings.
