Luke Manget is Assistant Professor of History and History Education at Western Carolina University. His research focuses on the intersections of environmental history and social history in the Appalachian region and beyond. After earning his PhD in history from the University of Georgia in 2017, he held appointments at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Dalton State College, and the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics. He currently lives in Morganton, North Carolina, with his wife, Natalie, and three sons: Henry, Charlie, and Jack.
