M. Anthony Garner is an award-winning author (America: A Disconnected Society) and seasoned law enforcement professional, worship minister, and veteran whose life reflects over three decades of service across the military, police, and ministry. With more than 30 years in law enforcement and an equal tenure in worship ministry, Garner brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to the complex intersection of duty, trauma, faith, and healing. Garner holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Association's Leadership Certification Course, and has served with distinction in roles that have placed him at the forefront of crisis and conflict, including combat military operations and officer-involved shootings. His firsthand experience with trauma, on the battlefield, in the line of duty, and within the sanctuary has shaped his understanding of sacrifice and resilience in ways few can articulate. A certified crisis negotiator, Garner has spent years not only responding to high-stakes critical incidents but also supporting others through them. He actively volunteers with his agency's Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), and with LOSS-Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide-offering hope and presence to those enduring unimaginable grief. His compassion and dedication have helped fellow officers, veterans, ministers, and bereaved families navigate the aftermath of trauma and loss. Through his writing, M. Anthony Garner explores the often unseen emotional and spiritual cost of service. His work sheds light on the burdens carried by those who serve and the families who stand beside them. Blending personal experience with professional insight, he seeks to foster empathy, healing, and understanding for those living in the shadows of sacrifice. Whether behind the badge, the pulpit, or on the battlefield, Garner's life has been a testimony to endurance, faith, and the quiet strength required to carry the weight of others. His writing is both a tribute and a lifeline to those who have served, those who still do, and those trying to make peace with what service has taken.
