I learned early that it's not acceptable for me to talk about the weird things I see at night or the whispering voices in my room. They told me there is no such thing as ghosts. Dead folks don't hang out in little boy's bedrooms, and I have an overly active imagination. They were right about the imagination. Later I discovered that while it is taboo to talk about "such nonsense," it is acceptable to write stories about paranormal events. I have been hooked ever since. You may find the female characters in my books to be ridiculously smart, tough, resourceful, and occasionally a hot mess. It is not only because I find this style of protagonist intriguing. Writers write what they know. Where I come from, women forever personify these characteristics of strength and joy. April May Snow, the protagonist in the prequel series Psychic Witch Hot Mess and the full-length novel series A Psychic Witch's Life, personifies a strong, intelligent woman. She just doesn't believe it yet. The April May Snow books are a Southern paranormal fiction series. They are not a midlife series. Considering the multitude of dangerous situations April finds herself in, she may be past her midlife. Let's hope not. I have come to love her, and I hope you will too. If you like to know a little about your authors, I was born in San Diego and raised in Birmingham. I keep a surfer's attitude toward life while conversing in a heavy Southern drawl. I live a few miles outside of Nashville. Since I can't play the guitar, a genuine impediment to being a successful country music singer, I continue to write books, which I enjoy immensely. I hope you will receive as much joy from reading one of my books as I get from bringing it to life. If you get time, let me know what you think with a review on Amazon. I really would appreciate it. Also, if you like, sign up for the reader's club at www.mscottswanson.com. If you have read this far, I am genuinely flattered. As much as I enjoy writing novels, it is pointless if they are not read. You, the reader, are the hero in my story. Rather than turn on the TV or watch videos on your phone, you read books. It is you who give all stories a place to come to life. Bravo to you! You are special.
