Mark Briggs is an author, professor and management consultant who helps Fortune 500 companies modernize their operations, culture, and leadership by facilitating cutting-edge transformations. Since 2006, Mark has worked with groups across the United States, Europe, China, and the Middle East. He is the author of four books and a professor of leadership and change management at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Briggs is also the author of Journalism 2.0: How to survive and thrive in the digital age which was published by J-Lab and the Knight Citizen News Network in 2007 and downloaded as a PDF more than 200,000 times in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He is currently a vice president with SmithGeiger Group, a storied media consulting firm based in Los Angeles. He helps companies modernize their operations, their culture and their leadership. In this capacity he works with all levels of organizations, from corporate executives to front-line staff while leading strategy and implementation. He earned journalism degrees from Gonzaga University and the University of North Carolina and lives in Tacoma, Wash.
