Marquita Moore is a writer, author, and inspiring conversationalist whose work is inspired by her personal journey to live a life awakened, authentic, and connected with God. Marquita spent over 10 years of her professional life working in the Entertainment Industry in Marketing and Brand Management. After years of feeling unfulfilled and ignoring the feeling that there was something deeper in life that she was not tapping into every day, she began intentionally walking her path to healing and growing spiritually. In 2011, she created How I Grew Today, a platform that she originally started as a way to hold herself accountable for her own need to be present and mindful in her daily life. How I Grew Today has grown into a community and platform designed to encourage and inspire others to awaken and walk this life in the Spirit, guided by love. As a writer, Marquita chronicles the lessons learned and the many revelations that have inspired her to choose, every day, to walk the path of light, living life spiritually. "My journaling has become my guide and part of my assignment. Sharing my writing is how I serve others and do my part to spread God's light, the goodness of humanity and love, in the way I was put here to do it." As a conversationalist, she encourages others to shift their gaze from the physical aspects of life to the spiritual. "If I could talk about spiritual things all day, I would. I am clear that there is a balance. Gently nudging through the connection in conversations with others is so important to me. It enriches my walk tremendously." Marquita is a graduate of Hampton University’s School of Journalism and is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She and her son River currently reside in the New York/New Jersey area.
