Thanks so much for your support!! Here's my latest news:
I'm thrilled to announce that the second book in the Oklahoma series, Blood on the Mother Road, WON the Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction 2022! It was an unexpected and thrilling experience! I'm extremely grateful to have this recognition from my home state.
And more news, that book was selected to provide the setting and context for the puzzles in a new Tulsa escape room, set to open in May 2022.
Meanwhile, I'm at work on the third book in the Oklahoma series. The working title is Crumbling Bones, and it is set in my home town of Enid, OK. It will feature many of the same characters as Blood on the Cimarron, winner of the Tony Hillerman Award for Fiction from New Mexico/Arizona books in 2018, the first in this series.
Production of the audiobook for Blood on the Cimarron has just finished. Expect to see this book in the Audible catalog sometime in May.
The second book of the Family Secret Series, Ant Dens, is also in production as an audiobook. Reagan Boggs, who narrated Cobwebs in 2016, will work on this project, which has been delayed due to COVID.
I'm often asked if the books in the Family Secret Series should be read in order: Cobwebs, Ant Dens, Beehives and Chrysalis. Each book could stand alone, but if you're interested in the series, start with #1, Cobwebs. (It is available as an audiobook, a trade paperback or an ebook.)
I'm sure you know that reviews mean everything to an author. How else will people get an idea of what your book is all about, as well as your writing style and your interests? Please take a minute to write a brief review if you have read one of my books. And check out my website at www.marycoley.com.
I'm still pinching myself about receiving the Oklahoma Book Award, as well as The Hillerman Award. That signifies that each story is solid, a good read, and worth your time and money. I hope you will take the time to read them, as well as the other six mysteries on my bookshelf.

Doesn't everyone have secrets? I'm sure they do - but the most irritating ones are the ones your own loved ones keep from you. Whether it is an elderly aunt, your mother, sister or husband, those secrets eat away at you. Why don't they trust me enough to tell me? you wonder. Jamie Aldrich, my main character, is no exception.
You can find two books of my short stories available on Amazon and Kindle Select: Beneath a Wild Sky (several genres) and Naked Ladies (women's fiction).
