Mary E. Trimble, award-winning novelist, lives with her husband on Camano Island, Washington. Their family, most of whom live in the Northwest, play an important role in their lives. Mary’s five contemporary western novels have met with enthusiastic acclaim. She is also the author of two memoirs, Sailing with Impunity: Adventure in the South Pacific, and Tubob: Two Years in West Africa with the Peace Corps, and has been a frequent guest speaker to groups interested in those topics. A prolific writer and author of 400-plus magazine and newspaper articles, Mary draws on personal experiences including purser and ship's diver aboard the tall ship M.S. Explorer; her Peace Corps involvement, offshore sailing adventures, and extensive overland RV travels. She served 20 years as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. The author is an active member of Women Writing the West and her local critique group, Hard-Nosed Zealots.
