Matthew H. Jones studies Literature at UMass Lowell. He also writes. He has a novel up on Amazon (No Magic For Luke Peters) and he’s marketing a new one (In the Hotel Zion) to publishers. To avoid any accusations of ego, he‘ll let others determine the quality of his work. Matthew worked on it and had ample opportunity to scalpel out anything he hated from his work. He can only rightly dislike it after some distance. Reading more talented writers can also weaken his opinion of his own work. It’s weird that he, and William Faulkner, Henry James, James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston, and Dorothy Alison are all writers – those who commit the physical act of writing. Technically, a baby and Albert Einstein are both human beings. At the very least, Matthew hopes his efforts are as adorable as the former pretending to be the latter. If you’d like to know about him, look to the night’s sky and imagine how infinite space is. Look at the star’s glinting glow. Each one is a sun like our own. Each one has been extinguished; its light is gone forever. This is a terrible way to learn about Matthew H. Jones but a great way to think about your place in the universe. Hit Matt up on twitter if you think you need to. @MatthewHJones
