Maurice C. Hill is a man of many talents and experiences, including that of a former College Professor and a decorated Sailor who served in the United States Navy during the first Gulf War. Maurice's dedication to his country and service in the Navy instilled in him the values of discipline, teamwork, and commitment, which he continues to uphold in his personal and professional life. After completing his military service, Maurice began his academic journey by earning undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Education from Georgia State University. He later earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Maurice's passion for counseling individuals and families led him to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University, where he also studied Counselor Education and Supervision while in a Ph.D. program. Maurice's vast knowledge and experience in various fields have made him a sought-after authority in his respective areas. He is currently a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a member of the Dekalb Board of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Maurice began his real estate career in 1997 and later became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Qualifying Broker of All Properties Professionals Realty in Atlanta, Georgia. He also serves as the founder and CEO of One United Publishing, where he helps business owners achieve their goals and aspirations through self-help books. Maurice's dedication to helping others extends beyond his professional life. While in graduate school with a focus on training master's level clinical mental health counselors, Maurice became concerned about helping budding entrepreneurs who desire to own and operate their businesses. Inspired by the strong desire and sense of urgency related to helping business owners, Maurice decided to apply for and enroll in Harvard University's Entrepreneurship Program. With his combined education and experience as an educator, business owner, and counselor, Maurice decided to write a group of self-help books. Maurice has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics related to mental health counseling, including Vicarious Trauma, the Psychological Aspects of Multiculturalism in Counseling, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He has been honored with numerous awards throughout his Real Estate career, including The Empire Board of Realtist Million Dollar Club Award from 2000-2006 and the Dekalb Board of Realtors Pinnacle Award in 2020, 2021, and 2022. He is also a member of the Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Maurice is an avid traveler who has visited nearly 30 countries. His experiences abroad have enriched his understanding of humanity and the natural world. While studying the diverse cultures, histories, and socio-political landscapes of the places he has visited, Maurice gained a deep love for humanity and nature. These experiences have opened his eyes to the complexity and beauty of our world and have inspired him to be a lifelong learner and advocate for positive change. Maurice's unwavering commitment to helping people achieve their goals and aspirations inspires others. With extensive knowledge and experience in multiple fields, Maurice is highly regarded as an authority and sought-after speaker. Additionally, Maurice has pursued his passion for flying airplanes by training at the Aviation Career Enrichment Inc in Atlanta, Georgia.
