I started teaching just after 9/11. I was working in finance and wanted to make a difference. I started teaching high school and fell in love with literature, my students, and my colleagues. I left teaching and worked with a major educational publisher to create meaningful professional development opportunities for educators so that I could have an even bigger impact. From there, I started creating curriculum. I fell in love with social emotional learning and the rest is history! I live in Maine with my husband, four children, three dogs, and a cat. When I'm not working, I love to travel, read (of course!), and am semi-addicted to cooking shows.
