English poet & author Michael Ashby (1950-20??) is one of the world's leading remembrance poets whose global funeral poems have touched tens of millions of lives in over 172 countries through his website thefuneralpoem.com, his poetry books, TV and publications. Michael is fortunate to live with his poems in South West England on East Devon's spectacular Jurassic coastline, spending part of each day gazing out to sea waiting for his next poem to appear on the horizon. Some nights he is awoken by the sounds of an argument between the sea and the local pebble beach coming in through his bedroom window. He's not sure who starts it, but they always settle in the end. Michael enters his 72nd year on "Spaceship Earth" with his collection of poetry written across life's rich spectrum published in "LEGACY" & "FUNERAL POEMS". He has completed published children's story collaborations with his eldest grandson Zac, aged 10 - 'ANIMALS SAVE THE WORLD: NO MORE PLASTIC', 'ANIMALS SAVE THE WORLD: RAIN FORESTS EMERGENCY', his only granddaughter Issy, aged 9 - 'PLANET CHRISTMAS', and his grandson Ben aged 7 - 'BEN'S DRAGONS'. Audiobook versions of these are available on audible narrated by the wonderful Michael Troughton, son of the 2nd. Dr. Who, Patrick Troughton. 'BEN'S DRAGONS' is in production. His appointment to full time grandpa of 6, 'the best job in the world!', is a paradox to him. Whilst he finds his grandchildren the greatest motivator to longevity ever invented, the threat they pose to longevity after attending their winter petri dishes called school, has to be carefully managed!
