Michael Lengemann was born in 1976 in the Netherlands and spent his childhood and youth near Aachen. His career path took him to Munich, where he worked in the gaming industry for many years. In 2015, he and his family moved to the Upper Palatinate, where they still live today. He enjoys traveling with his family, particularly to Scotland, Sweden, or the Croatian Adriatic. In Scotland, he is fascinated by the rugged landscapes and the mystical atmosphere of the Highlands, while in Sweden, he appreciates the endless forests and the tranquility of the lakes. These places provide him with inspiration and space for reflection—perfect conditions for developing new ideas. In his spare time, Michael Lengemann is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, but when it comes to writing, he prefers the genres of psychological thrillers, thrillers, and mystery. Under the pen name Avery Munro, he also writes romance novels set in Scotland. Scotland is his place of longing, especially the majestic Highlands, which captivate him with their wild, untamed nature and deep-rooted history. This love for Scotland and its landscapes flows into his romantic stories, giving them a unique authenticity and atmosphere.
