Michelle White-Juillet has had an affinity for writing for as long as she can remember. Recently, she made a shift away from her regular occupation to pursue writing. She is now the author of More Than a Tourist, Joshua Tree, California. She writes to express her deepest feelings, assist others in personal growth, explore tools of self-improvement, and to educate others. This recent book is an expression of the eclectic, artistic, and sometimes harsh world of the high desert, where she has lived for 18 years. Michelle earned a master’s degree in education and worked in the field for several years, as a substitute teacher in elementary schools, preschools, with disadvantaged students and as an English teacher to foreign students. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she shares the unique perspective of someone that has lived in the Mid-South, east coast, west coast, Okinawa, and finally settled in the high desert of Southern California. Having found her tribe and a strong spiritual grounding, she is interested in encouraging others to be open to new ideas, to find their strength, their voice, and their unique path to personal power. Michelle is energetic, investigative, funny, and curious. This love of learning and educating often finds itself in her creative writing flow. She also enjoys hiking, painting, crafts, communing with nature, a deep faith, and intellectual conversations.
