PROFILE: Roger B. Hamilton is currently a 6th Degree, Master Black Belt, in the combined arts of Shotokan Karate and Goshi-Shun Jujitsu. An accomplished and active black belt karate instructor and competitor, Sensei Hamilton has more than 45 years of Martial Arts training, and over 40 years of consistent, practical teaching experience. Additionally, Mr. Hamilton is currently the Northern California Sales Manager for the Aggreko Corporation. He is responsible for the Utility Industry professional sales efforts throughout Northern California & Nevada. Mr. Hamilton also has more than 45 years of professional sales and marketing experience. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Mr. Hamilton grew up in nearby Somerset, New Jersey. He was a high school wrestling champion, who was awarded a four-year athletic scholarship to Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland. During his first year as a competitor at Morgan, Mr. Hamilton became an NCAA (MEAC) Mid East Atlantic Conference Champion in his weight class. After completing his studies at Morgan, Mr. Hamilton returned to New Jersey and began his professional sales and marketing career. CURRENT ACTIVITIES: Mr. Hamilton is currently the CEO, Founder and Chief Instructor of Hamilton Martial Arts Academy, located in Pittsburg, California. He is a married, father of two sons, who have been his consistent students for the last 21 years. They are 28 and 25 years old respectively. Also an accomplished Sport Martial Arts Tournament Promoter/Director, Mr. Hamilton has taken his business skill and experience, and combined it effectively with his Martial Arts Training and teaching. The synergy that exists from all aspects of his life is the subject he loves to write about. His book: Never Quit (The Journey of a Million Miles) chronicles his journey to manhood and the incredible challenges he overcame.
