Mumtaz Hussain is an artist, graphic designer, filmmaker, and writer. He has served as an art director for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Simon & Schuster. Mumtaz has directed 13 episodes of an informative talk show titled "Ask a Lawyer" for Channel 9. He has authored several books, including "GOOL AINAK KA PECHAY, LAFZON MAIN TASVARIAN, PELI PATI CHUNA KUM, MUMTAZ HUSSAIN DIAN CHUWIAN KAHINIAN" in Urdu (GURMUKHI script), and "PORTRAIT IN WORDS" in English. A M.Phil thesis on Mumtaz Hussain was successfully completed at the University of Punjab. His art film, "Soul of Civilization," has been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Queens Museum of Art, Stony Brook University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Connecticut. Other notable films in his portfolio include "This is my Pakistan" for the Pakistani TV channel GEO, "Inside You" based on Rumi's poetry, "Push Button For" adapted from a Pakistani classic short story, and "Butterfly Screams" inspired by 9/11. Mumtaz's debut feature film, "Art = (Love) 2," has received several awards. He has also written three plays, namely "The Barking Crow," "Legal Alien," and "Virus Bomb," all of which have been staged in New York. His script, "The Kind Executioner," was recognized as a finalist at the Hollywood Screenplay Contest and won the top award at the Jaipur International Film Festival. Mumtaz's paintings and films have been exhibited at numerous museums, universities, art galleries, and international film festivals.
