Natalie R. Perkins is a multihyphenate. As a reverend in the United Church of Christ, she is the Minister for Worship and Online Community at Middle Collegiate Church in New York City and serves as a Spiritual Life Advisor at New York University. She received her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary. She is the co-founder of Tanho Center, an organization dedicated to incorporating extracanonical texts into contemporary spiritual practices. She has been a contributing writer for Daily Guideposts and for Emancipation Proclamation: Forever Free as well as a host of other guest devotional contributions in various online collections. As a creator, Natalie wrote and recorded Songs of Your Truth–an EP available on all major music platforms that takes six pieces from Odes of Solomon and sets them to contemporary musical genres. As a performer, she has been seen in the national tours of Hairspray and Rent, has performed around the world on major cruise lines and with the USO Show Troupe, and continues to sing with symphonies and in regional theatres all over the country. Natalie frequently ties both her work in religion and her work in the arts together. In her spare time, she struggles to keep her plants alive.
