Neil Chase is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and story consultant based in Edmonton, Canada. With over 15 years of experience in the film industry, he’s the founder of Neil Chase Film, a media company dedicated to helping fellow writers and filmmakers, and Co-Founder of Brimstone Pictures, a genre-film production company. Neil works to bring back 80s-style movies and old-fashioned storytelling that isn’t afraid to take risks, challenge audiences, and entertain on all levels. Neil is the author of the horror-western novel Iron Dogs (available on Amazon) and writer/co-director of the psychological thriller film Spin The Wheel (available on Tubi and Amazon). His newest feature film, Contamination, is currently in post-production and has already secured international distribution. Neil is also featured in the book, "The Top 100 Indie Writers in the World". Passionate about action and horror films, with an emphasis on character-driven drama and dark comedy, but versatile enough to deliver quality work in any genre, Neil is constantly learning in order to better himself as a storyteller and filmmaker. Having worked both sides of the camera - as a writer, actor, grip, editor, colorist, visual effects artist, producer, and director - he strives to better understand all facets of film in service of the story. With over 130 writing and film awards, including top prizes at FilmMakers International Screenwriting Awards, American Fiction Awards, Script Summit, FilmQuest, Screamfest, Cinequest, Las Vegas Film Festival, West Field Screenwriting Awards, Hollywood Horrorfest, and the Global Book Awards, Neil is motivated to keep improving his work, learning new skills, and sharing what he’s learned with other aspiring writers and filmmakers!
