Nick Brown grew up in Norfolk and has taught English and history in both the UK and abroad. The first 'Agent of Rome' novel, 'The Siege', was published in 2011. 2012 saw the release of 'The Imperial Banner' which was followed by 'The Far Shore', 'The Black Stone', 'The Emperor's Silver' and 'The Earthly Gods.' Nick works as a freelance writer and has also completed several screenplays. Several short ebooks are available: 'Death This Day', 'The Eleventh Hour' and 'The Flames of Cyzicus' all feature characters from the 'Agent of Rome' series. 'Dead Eyes' is a collection of three science fiction tales. 2018 saw the release of 'Marik's Way,' a fantasy novel. In 2019, the seventh - and final - 'Agent of Rome' novel, 'The Last Battle', was published. In January, 2023, Nick released 'Agent of Rome: Tarchon' - the first in a spinoff series following the adventures of a new agent in third century Byzantium and beyond.
