After gaining extensive experience in real estate sales and purchases as a branch manager at a property developer, he founded the industry's first real estate consulting company for individuals, Real Estate Master Sakura Office, in 1999, and is currently the chairman. Since then, he has established himself as a leading "individual real estate consultant who maintains a third-party perspective" through various activities. He has also served as a committee member for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. In April 2008, he founded the NPO Japan Home Inspectors Association with the aim of popularizing home inspections and establishing an official certification system, and became its first chairman. He is also active in TV and other media appearances, lectures, publishing and writing. He is currently serializing his articles in Toyo Keizai Online, Diamond Online, and other publications. He is also in charge of overseeing part of the NHK drama "Shojiki Real Estate." He also makes industry and policy recommendations and discusses social issues in general. He also runs a YouTube channel (Osamu Nagashima's "Reading Japan and the World") and is active as a YouTuber who disseminates information about real estate investment, politics, economics and finance in general.
