Owen B. Scott has been working in the technology sector for over 24 years. He started his career by helping to build a network of large fishing vessels worldwide through satellite technology in the 1990's, and then forayed into the open source community, starting with Red Hat Linux at the University of Washington. This was followed by a handful of years as a network engineer, and then fourteen years building software solutions at all levels, from micro-business to the enterprise. Sustaining and supporting it all has been an abiding and deep curiosity about life - critical for a writer of any kind.
