Pamela McLean, PhD, is the CEO and cofounder of The Hudson Institute of Coaching, an organization providing a full suite of coaching services inside organizations and widely known as one of the leading coach training programs in the United States for over 30 years. McLean brings more than three decades of experience as a clinical and organizational psychologist, a master coach, coach supervisor, and leader and contributor in the field of coaching. She has worked with hundreds of leaders inside organizations helping to strategically develop a coaching culture at all levels. McLean has written extensively and authored The Completely Revised Handbook of Coaching (2012), LifeForward: Charting the Journey Ahead (2015), and Self as Coach, Self as Leader: Developing the Best in You to Develop the Best in Others (2019). She served on the editorial board of the International Journal of Coaching in Organizations (IJCO) and coedited an issue dedicated to a developmental perspective on organizational coaching. Pam served on Harvard’s JFK Women’s Leadership Board, the faculty of Saybrook University in San Francisco, California, and LikeMinded in San Francisco. She is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 13, Consulting Psychology and a Fellow of The American Group Psychotherapy Association. She is a frequent key presenter on leadership coaching and the use of Self as Coach and going deeper to do our best work. Pamela lives in the foothills of Santa Barbara, California, and when she isn’t immersed in leadership coaching and coach supervision, she enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, birding, reading, and developing her skills in ceramics.
