Patrick McCray entered the Dark Shadows community in 2012 when he successfully screened all 1225 episodes in only 45 days. He joined the Collinsport Historical Society staff the next year. A native of Louisville, Kentucky — he grew up blocks away from both Roger Davis and the house where Mitch Ryan was raised. Prior to earning his MFA in stage directing, Patrick helped the Rattlesnake Productions art department launch the landmark, television hit, Babylon 5 and was a comic book author for Revolutionary Comics, creating the underground cult hit, Elvis Shrugged while serving as protege to maverick comic book publisher, Todd Loren. Moonlighting as a film critic for a British website, Patrick's comments on Duck Soup would later be cited by Roger Ebert in his column and book, The Great Movies. He later wrote top-selling biographies of Betty White, Jack Dorsey, Britney Spears, and Elvis Presley. Having directed over eighty stage plays, he also co-produced and co-starred in the lauded audio series, Star Trek: The Continuing Mission. He has been writing the Dark Shadows Daybook since 2016, winning the 2018 Rondo Award for writer of the year. As a webmaster, you can see his work at kathrynleighscott.com.
