I was born in London toward the end of 1960, the second son of an English father and Austrian mother. My parents met in Graz, Austria toward the end of WWII, when the allied forces turned up in that part of Europe. My memories of the stories recounted by my parents formed the initial inspiration for this, my first book. Whilst, at heart, I shall always be a Londoner, born within the sound of Bow Bells and all that, I now live with my wife, Tracy, in the small coastal town of Frinton on Sea, which is in Essex. We have four grown up offspring and now, just share our house with Ripley, a wire haired fox terrier who, I'm sure, doesn't realise he's a dog. This is my first book and was written some time ago. I didn't write the book for publication but rather to keep myself amused and looking busy whilst I was employed by a particular organisation that didn't generate much business. After seeing a feature about unpublished written works on daytime television, Tracy took it upon herself to market the manuscript and now, it's actually being published. For me, it was wonderfully strange to revisit the figments of my over active imagination some twenty years after their initial creation. I hope you enjoy the book and being recently retired, following a lengthy career spent within the London Insurance Market, I decided to commence work on its sequel, which picks up where the Last Wish ends. This book is titled, "The Last Wish 2 - Cursed Swag" and includes the nuns relentless quest to recover their lost loot. The story moves from Italy to France, the USA and finally to England, and is set to be released sometime in 2023. Meanwhile, "The Last Wish 3", provisionally titled "Sweet Screams", is underway. I don't know whether it's just me but I believe that each book I write is better than the last. I'll not give anything away here, I can't because the plot is, as yet, not finalised but suffice to say, there will be murder and mayhem.
