Raymond Wemmlinger has been studying the Tudors for many years, with a particular interest in untold or overlooked stories, especially about royal women, and their ambitions for themselves and their children. His skills as a historian were cultivated in 19th Century British and American theater through his career of 37 years as Curator and Librarian of The Players Foundation for Theater Education at The Players in New York City, and as a novelist in his 2007 historical novel Booth’s Daughter, about the family struggles of the only child of the famous tragedian Edwin Booth. Raymond has spent all his life in or around New York City, where he earned degrees in English Literature from Pace University and Librarianship from Pratt Institute. He lives in New Jersey with his family and Golden Retriever. The Queen’s Rival: A Novel of Lady Margaret Clifford is the first in a series of his novels to be published by Sapere.
