Graduated from the University of Utah in Computer Science. Married with six adventurous children. I love the island of Kauai, science fiction, and mountain biking. I've been writing software since the golden age. I knew the founders of Novell, Microsoft, Borland, Evans & Sutherland, Pansophic, Apple (that's a fun story), Oracle, Electronic Data Systems, Computer Associates, and others. Most of the legends are gone now, but what a trip. They would dream about a world connected by computers. Some legends became wealthy from luck or good business; some did not, but they were all dreamers. That is what they all had in common. Lately, I've been writing more Science Fiction. While Biking in the mountains of Kauai, I encountered an old Monk with a tiger. As they ran across in front of me, everything else slowed down: the leaves in the trees, even the birds in the air. Then the old guy turned and smiled and was off in a flash as the world returned to normal. This impossible event is why I wrote BASE: The Edge of Reality. I needed to consider the possibility that we live in a simulation. As a computer programmer, it seemed possible because nothing else about that day made any sense. My new SciFi novel, Not From Earth, is available on Amazon. The trademark name 'Not From Earth is for an eBook series and a mobile SciFi App. The SciFi App, available in the Apple App store, uses AI Image Recognition and Style Transfer effects to show what someone might look like as an alien on other planets. I'm having fun adding new AI features to the App. Software Written: Mediaforge, Rainhut, Instant Replay, Hardrunner, Gener/OL(SGT), Morpheus Awards: PC Mag Editor's Choice, Best of Comdex, PC Mag Best of the Best I sometimes write technical articles.
