My name is Robert Ormsby and I'm the proud author of the #DistractionAction and #DistractionPassion series, available exclusively on Amazon. The #DistractionAction series was born out of dark times. In 2019 I was knee-deep in death, divorce, and depression- not to mention a wonderful little bit of existential midlife crisis- and writing was my outlet of choice to help myself from going bat-ish crazy. I'd write poems, short stories, and personal musings inspired by this troubled headspace and darkening spirit. Not only does this provide some much needed therapy for yours truly, but these books might also help you and yours to weather whatever storm it is that you yourself might be facing. #DistractionAction is equal parts empathy, therapy, and commiseration. The #DistractionPassion series are my passion projects- thoughts or feelings that I'm compelled to write about. These books are typically focused on a single subject matter and are often shorter reads. Books meant to invoke emotions and fan the flames- for better or worse. I wrote them for me but I share them with YOU, dear reader. I'm hoping you'll give them a little time and attention and I'm hoping they'll resonate in whatever way it is that you need them to.
