Saal Baraan is a pen name of author and poet Sulaiman Bharwani. Saal has authored numerous publications, book chapters, newspaper columns and editorials. This is his first book of poems and illustrations. He is a pediatrician and a Professor who has travelled, worked and taught in Midwest, Northeast and Southern United Stated as well as Internationally in Canada, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Alain, Abu Dhabi) and Pakistan. He enjoys mentoring the next generation of doctors. He has received numerous awards including one from the United Kingdom and from ‘Hour Detroit’ Top Doctors award. He enjoys writing poetry and more specifically poetry that finds a deeper meaning in human condition, raises social awareness and makes us more empathetic in our daily dealings. He lives in Michigan with his wife and two daughters and enjoys nature walks when Midwestern weather permits!
