Salomey is a self-taught author-illustrator from Leeds. Originally trained in architecture, she started watercolour painting in 2018 and quickly fell in love with the art of storytelling. When she is not drawing, she is either daydreaming, going on long walks, at church, or talking to her pet hedgehog Strawberry. Salomey’s debut author-illustrated graphic novel, "BRIELLE & BEAR: Once Upon a Time..." published by HarperCollins imprint HarperFire, is out now, with a sequel to follow in Spring 2026. Salomey's debut as a picture book illustrator arrived with the publication of "YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, TYRONE!", authored by Sir Lenny Henry and published by Macmillan Children's Books. A follow up, "TYRONE'S COOL CROWN", was published in August 2024. Salomey is represented by Lorna Hemingway at Bell Lomax Moreton.
