Samuel Hinton is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. He has authored scholarly books, and several articles in academic Journals. He was editor of the Kentucky Journal of Excellence in College Teaching and Learning for seven years. Dr. Hinton was a Fulbright – Hays scholar in Brazil, Czech and Slovak Republics, and China respectively and is a senior Fulbright Specialist. He is an ordained Orthodox Anglican Minister.
