Sananda is a freelance writer, editor and translator originally from Kolkata, India. A decade back, Sananda started her career as a journalist in electronic news media. After a few years she joined social sector as research and documentation specialist and worked for promoting and safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of rural India. During this time, she traveled extensively to different parts of rural India, sometimes as a professional and sometime just as a traveler. It took her to many new places and provided her the opportunity to meet some of the nicest people during her journey. In 2015, Sananda left her job in social sector to become a full-time traveler.
