Born at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sarah early realized that to succeed you must work. She learned this from her overachieving father who drove her to excel at all her endeavors. Through two careers, she has written stories, poems, and articles. After many strokes of the pen, in 2007 she retired to compose full time. "Guardian Spirit" her first published novel was released September 15, 2010, published by Lucky Press LLC, Athens Ohio. "The Color of My Heart", Sarah's second novel was released November 1, 2012, published by Ambassador International, Greenville, South Carolina. Sarah's third novel, "The River Keeper" is now being edited and 2013 will see the release of her first children's picture book, titled, "The Manger Mouse." She likes stories that have grit to them. Life isn't always a bed of roses, so she writes the truth. In forming her characters, she takes bits and pieces of different people she's known or imagined through the years and forms personalities that readers may not always like but will be able to connect with or be fascinated by. Sarah resides still at those foothills with her husband of over thirty years. Aside from her books, her best friend is her daughter. Sarah's granddaughter Emma also occupies many happy hours of her days. She hopes you enjoy "Guardian Spirit" and "The Color of My Heart" and will be inspired to find your own magic in life.
