Many graduates of Pressed Oil now serve their communities as life coaches and Christian counselors. In 2013 BLING Sorority, an after-school program to empower at-risk girls by building self-esteem, confidence, and purpose, was born! She then founded The Merit Group (later known as Selectly Branded), a brand and marketing firm she co-founded that held over a million dollars in contracts. After the birth of her miracle daughter Bimpe at age 43, she and her husband founded Bimpe's House of Books and Beauty. Bimpe's House offers all-natural and organic skin and hair care products and a variety of books that promote creativity, progress, and faith to enrich the mind, body, and soul. She served on many advisory boards, including IVY Tech, Pass the Torch, Purposeful Living INC, Beacon of Hope Crisis Center, and Skyline Club. Shamara was a founding member of the Indiana Black Chamber of Commerce. She writes and creates various Christian-based Self- help and em-powerment books, including I See a Hummingbird, Follow the Firefly, BLING: My Life is Not a Reality TV Show, For Goal Diggers Only, Free to be Me with a Cup of Tea, and Seeds for Start-Ups. The mother of two resides in Indiana with her husband and two granddaughters.
