Shannon Eichorn is a science fiction writer and aerospace engineer in Cleveland who has a slight obsession with friendly alien symbionts and polite werewolves. She received her BS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2012 and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in 2023. During the day, she has written service instructions for turbofan engines, taught horseback riding at a summer camp, and supported supersonic wind tunnel testing. She is a graduate of the Alpha Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Workshop for Young Writers (2005) and Slippery Rock University's Summer Creative and Performing Arts Academy (2003). She also won the 2008 Nemet Scholarship for Excellence in Creative Writing at Case Western Reserve University. In her "infinite free time," she reads urban fantasy and space opera. She lives with her domesticated mad rocket scientist and their cat. She can be found playing bass, speaking at conventions, extolling the cuteness of supersonic wind tunnels, or rearranging her bookshelves.
