From a young age, she found her voice through poetry, capturing her feelings about love and adventure in verse. Her passion for writing lay dormant for many years but reignited with new intensity when she retired and became a Texas snowbird. Eager to refine her craft, she joined several writers' groups and discovered a love for creating inspiring stories for children. However, life took a challenging turn when her husband lost his sight, and her writing projects were set aside. Eventually, they left Texas for Florida, which became their permanent home and where she resides today. After 20 years as a devoted caregiver, her husband passed away, leaving her with time to reflect on her next steps. She turned to God for guidance, and just a week later, a friend invited her to a writer’s retreat at Richard Paul Evans’ ranch. That transformative experience reignited her creativity, leading to her first published works with Flint Hills Publishing. Today, her days are filled with volunteering at church, crafting jewelry as an amateur silversmith, attending book signings, and continuing to write stories that inspire and delight.
